Easter and Family

Here we are at the Jones Farm for Easter. Though we get here last night, and will be leaving for Taylorsville (home) late tonight.

Bobbie say:

Dahlia says:

I love you!! The bunny was sooo cute. It hops around, but it can't get out of the gate. I love and I love and I love to sing.

Grandpa and Grandma Jones have a neighbor who was selling rabbits. So Dad (Grandpa Jones) 'rented' the bunny for the day. He paid the $6.50 to buy the bunny with the understanding that it would be returned on Sunday. So far the girls are having fun. Dahlia is a little concerned that the bunny is too small to be the Easter bunny. But Uncle Paul F. told her that the Easter bunny sub-contracts out. She wasn't sure what that meant, but the adults all laughed about it. (I have pictures I will post when we get back home)

Mom (Grandma Jones) was helping the girls say a prayer over dinner last night, and Bobbie wanted to do it. So Mom would say s a few words, and Bobbie would repeat them. At one point Mom said Bless Aunt Julie's family to get here safely. Bobbie said I can't remember that, and Mom and I tried not to giggle. Silly goose.

So far it has gone well. The girls are loving being here with Grandma and Grandpa, as well as Aunt Julie and her family. We did have a little 1/2 streaking incident. Dahlia ran out of the bathroom with only her shirt on. So we had the talk about not being naked around boys. Not sure she understands what the big deal is, but hopefully she will figure it out before she goes to school.

New Haircuts

Check out our new haircuts. Kind of snazzy looking if I do say so myself.

This is us from the front , the girls got a trim, mostly visible in the back. Myself, I went a little more . . . . . more.

This is us from the back. Note the girl's hair is just above their shoulders. Mine is just this side of shaved up the back, and short on top. All I have left is to go back and get it permed (with a soft/relaxed wave) to give me a little more body on top.

I have been debating for the last 6 months getting it cut, but chickened out at the last minute every time. I was down visiting Mom and we booked appts for the girsl to get theirs cuts, and I was talking with mom about getting mine cut short, similar to what it was in high school. I dug through my hope chest, and found a picture I liked, and Mom gave me the name of a neighbor lady who cuts hair. I will admit at one point I wanted to beg her to glue my hair all back one, strand by strand if she had too. But it turned out really well. I am still trying out hairdo's. Some are a great hit at work, and I had one that was a great flop.

The girls love it because they can finally brush my hair. Before it tangled so easily, that their hair-dressing always ended with mommy in tears, and a huge knot of hair around the hair brush. This works much better.
