1st Ever Lost Tooth & Visit to Monroe

Dahlia has finally done it!! She lost her first tooth tonight. It was getting pretty wobbly, and it needed a little encouragement, but with a little extra wiggling it came out. Poor Bobbie was excited, until she realized that she didn't have any loose teeth and then she was upset.

Dahlia tucked her tooth under her pillow and the Tooth Fairy has come to collect it, and gave her 2 shiny quarters for it (the tooth fairy is a little cheap at our house).

We just got back tonight from a visit the Jones Farm. The girls had a great time with the grandparents. I got more cleaning done at my place. It seems to be easier to clean sometimes when I am not also trying to entertain the girls. The last time I tried to just clean and let them entertain themselves they found scissors, and . . . . well it's just best if I try to clean and keep them in sight.

On Saturday we went to the library and the girls had a blast running through the leaves in the park next to the library. There was this big pile of leaves and no one in sight. So the girls ran into it, and started playing.

Soon there was no big pile of leaves, it had been pulverized. Then these two young men came into the park carrying a trash can, a shovel, and a rake. OOPS!! Luckily Mom knew the kids (some of Dad's scouts) and we sent the girls over to help them rake the leaves. Since we had killed the pile they had already made, figured the girls should help them make another pile of leaves.

Even Mom got in on the clean up action . . . a little. She was supervising, and I was photo-documenting. Mostly we were laughing because the girls were having a great time, and the guys were very patient with them.
