The girls like to play Scare the Grandpa when we see him at the store. This time they tried to hide behind the 1/2 door and jump up and growl. Though the growl mostly came out sounding a lot like giggles. Dad tricked them by reaching under the door and trying to grab their ankles. Mom and I stood back and laughed.
The girls know that this is the 1/2 door that stands between them and a treat. As long as they behave in the store they get a treat when they see Grandpa. He takes them to the side area where they keep the candy, and sometimes they get stickers. Mom and I occasionally have to confiscate the good stuff. . . strictly for quality control sampling of course!!
